Hey Baby!

Early this morning, Eila's newest cousin, Elliana, was born. We are all very excited! Aunt Natalie and Uncle Chris have a beautiful baby girl born around 1:30am at 7 lbs. 15 oz. and 21.5 inches long. This now makes the 4th family birthday in this week - Happy Birthday to Aunt Titi, Katie, and Aunt Amber too!

I also have a maternity shirt that says "Hey Baby!" and Eila has been saying that somewhat frequently lately... It's almost like she knows.

Allez, Go

This morning, Eila said to me "Allez, go!" She really wanted to go to the park and had gotten out her shoes, her hat, had tried to open the door, got me my shoes, and had even grabbed a bottle of water for her mama. So, I caved and she walked and/or pushed her little truck all the way to the park. However, once at the park, she was so tired she could only swing and needed to be carried (along with her truck) all the way home.

Next time, no matter how cute nor how insistent, "Allez, go" won't work on me. We'll take a stroller or some other more sensible means of transportation to the park (over 1/2 mile away). Then we'll all be able to enjoy the entire outing!
