Copy Cat

Eila is an imitator. She walks around following me and repeating what I do and what I say. These activities include feeding Josiah and cleaning up the kitchen as well as turning on the TV or wiping Joe's nose. Dancing is one of her favorite things to do and she copied lots of great new moves from some of her cousins this weekend. When asked which of two foods or outfits she'd like, Eila simply repeats the options back to me. Sometimes she asks for something by saying the word and adding yeah to the end of it; for example, "wa-wa? yeah!" to ask for some water.

Eila also likes to make sure that everyone knows what is going on with everyone else around her. So, when noises come from Josiah's diaper area Eila says loudly "Potty!" If he is eating, she'll let me know that too.

And, in a surprising new development, Eila has been asking to go to bed for her naps!

Adjusting Well

Eila has been adjusting well to having her new brother around. She'll always point him out when she sees him, "Baby!". She asks to hold him a lot. She even gave him a ride around the living room in his infant carrier.
