Giving Thanks

When asked: What are you thankful for?

Eila responded: for the computer, for Annabelle and Genevieve and Ashton and Evan and Savannah and Mommy and Daddy and Josiah - that's all - and Eila and Aunt Nat and Grandma and Susie and Grandma and Rachel and Claire and Ashley and Grace and Gracie and Jo-Jo and Annie and Sami and Emily and Lucie and Agathe and everything else, for Great-Grandma and Grandpa Bill. Grandpa is a boy. Grandma is a girl. I love you, Dad. I love you so much, Mom. for Aunt Ber. Thank you Kaitrin, Josh, Elliana, Aunt Nat and Chris and Uncle Bill and Aunt Jen and Kaitrin and Joshie and Webkinz World. I wanna do Elmo. I'm thankful for Elmo.

Trick or Treat

Eila loved Halloween and all of its pagan glory. She was fully on board with the procedure for getting candy and adored being told what a pretty princess she was everywhere she went.

Her princess shoes gave her a nasty blister after a few houses, so Papa carried her home and after a quick shoe change she went back out. This time she requested that Mama wait on the sidewalk and she could go up by herself (like the big kids).

Giving out candy was equally as exciting for Eila, but the highlight was eating the candy and will be for weeks to come. We may have to make a gingerbread house to use up at least some of the candy, so that she doesn't get too much sugar in her delicate little system!
