Eila has been testing the limits, especially at rest times, but at many others times as well. She has had to have a lot of practice sessions at listening and obeying since she opened the gate and let Josiah out of the backyard, went into the laundry room without supervision and spread reeds everywhere, wrote on her new dress with a non-washable marker, screamed and screamed when put to bed and finally emptied all the drawers of her dressers and pulled the dresser on top of her instead of taking a nap.
Upon realizing the seriousness of the dresser situation (in which I praise God no one was hurt at all!) she spoke of what she thought the consequences of her actions would be: "I'll never be able to get dressed by myself again. I'll never wear clothes on my own. I won't be able to drive cars ever again. It was an accident. I'm sorry. I'll never be able to dress myself again."
