Eila had a case of the dropsies today. It was a little bit of a rough day. There have been some good days and not so good days living in France. There have been a lot of days that are full of both good and bad.
Among the wreckage of Eila's bad day were frisbees, her phone, the groceries, money, cookies, and bathroom, in that order. (As I write this, she dropped another treat and a game!) She was concerned that her glasses (which were in the bathroom cabinet) would have fallen as well, but gratefully they were not damaged.
During gym, her class was killing it in Ultimate Frisbee, but Eila wasn't really helping much since she dropped every single frisbee that came her way. After school, she was enjoying her bed and wifi all at once, and got up to walk into the living room while eating an Airhead candy. It didn't end well, as she walked into the door and dropped her phone which shattered the screen. Trying to walk and chew gum at the same time...
Just a little later, Eila was doing a favor for her parents and ran to the Carrefour for some salt and other needed items. Unfortunately, she dropped all the items she bought in the parking lot as well as the money and had to regather it all. She did get it all and so it wasn't a big deal, but sort of comical to watch from the window of our apartment.
Not too much after her return from the store, Eila was eager to try one of the cookies we made to take to our neighbors and then dropped it on the floor where it rolled and left a large trail of crumbs, but it tasted just as good. Before bed, Eila took a shower and we heard an enormous crash as she got out of the shower. We tried to check on her, but couldn't open the door. Somehow the bathroom cabinet fell over and lodged itself against the door so that she had to lift it up by herself in order to free herself (or let anyone else in.) She was not hurt and nothing was broken, but it was the dropped icing on the fallen cake of the day.
